Matrimonial Tools 2024

Announcing the 2024 version of the matrimonial tools web app from Jones & Lamb LLP.

This application is accessible from your browser and is designed to assist the family law community with:

  • Matrimonial Property Schedules (MPS) that are easy to create and modify, and include features to estimate tax discounts, unequal splits on individual assets, and multiple categories to equalize different groups of assets (e.g. pre-tax assets). Then export the MPS to Excel, PDF, Word, or HTML.
  • Guideline Income calculator, which includes an income tax gross-up estimator (for example, on after-tax discretionary benefits received by a spouse).
  • Spousal Support Lump Sum Calculator to estimate an equivalent lump sum for a range of periodic spousal support payments. The lump sum calculator utilizes 2024 federal and provincial income tax rates, and includes the option to include contingencies for mortality, disability, etc. The calculator also includes live look-ups for recent interest rates to assist in discount rate selection.

The web app is easy to use and secure. Your data stays with you, not on the application’s server.

Jones & Lamb LLP is here to help, and the Matrimonial Tools web application is reasonably priced at $150 per year. The Matrimonial Tools web application supplements our business valuation and expert report services. For questions or access to the application, please contact either Mark Jones at mark@joneslamb.ca or Justin Lamb at justin@joneslamb.ca.
